As a person who works in the northeast, it’s been very refreshing to see how cool (no pun intended) bosses have been about letting people have flexible schedules and work from home during these latest snowstorms. It certainly leads to a lot less stress and creates good will for my feelings about my company.

Today was my birthday and as a surprise, my boss gave me a half day off. This is waaaaay better than some cheesy gift–thank you!

One of the best perks about working at my company is that we get the week between Christmas and New Year’s off. Happy holidays, everyone!

Our company just raised several thousand dollars for a local charity. Nice to that everyone is still so giving even in a tough year. And to make it better the company matched the contribution made by the employee fund raiser.

Sure my company blocks internet use, but it doesn’t matter to me. I can do whatever I want on my iPhone at work. Just another reason to love this thing.

I love working on Black Friday–I would much rather be in the office where very few people are than out on the streets fighting the mobs. I can actually get some real work done!

My team just wrapped up a big presentation to vendors, which was a huge success. The boss is treating us all to a free lunch for our hard work. Nice!
