It’s annual review time, and the HR director sends out an e-mail to the managers asking for the staff’s 2010 goals. In the e-mail, she says in the next sentence after asking for the goals that there will be no pay increases this year. Then my manager, brilliant as she is, attaches this e-mail in a note all of us staff while asking for our goals. Is this supposed to be motivating me? What a complete waste of my time and complete lack of respect for what we all do. Happy friggin’ holidays.
