Weigh in on the Question of the Week:

How do you de-stress after a long day at work?

Take your team to the top

Why TellUrBoss?

Kim Fabian, founder of TellUrBossTellurboss was created by me, Kim Fabian, as an offshoot of my corporate training and team-building business, Ovations. Through this work, I’ve found that, without exception, communication is ranked as one of the top challenges faced by staff and leadership in organizations. I’ve also talked to plenty of people who agree that one of the biggest struggles is upward communication.

Whether it’s fear of conflict, losing a job, rocking the boat, speaking up, feeling stupid or upsetting the status quo, many people are hesitant to tell their bosses what they really think—even though it drives them crazy to stay silent or play along.

TellUrBoss was born to to give you a voice, because it’s often the opinions and ideas of the professionals on the front line that can make the greatest difference in an organization’s success. This site offers a confidential forum to vent, voice concerns, offer suggestions and tell your boss what you always thought you couldn’t. It’s also a place to build a community of people who can relate to your struggles, give you a reality check or advise you as you move forward

It’s also important to note that we’re not just focusing on the negative. There are plenty of great bosses out there who deserve recognition for doing the things that make them so great. Sometimes it’s hard to tell them that, too.

In healthy places of work, leaders provide the opportunity for staff to constructively speak their minds. They are part of a corporate culture that values diverse thought and knows that no one person ever has the answer. Through your comments on this site, I hope to gather data that will help identify areas where workplace communications and practices can be improved, then develop programs to fill those gaps.

Most of all, I hope you will feel a sense of relief in being here—and have some fun as you participate.
